The mission of The Arc of New Mexico is to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages by advocating for equal opportunities and choices in where and how they learn, live, work, play and socialize.

The Arc of New Mexico’s staff have a wide array of experience and talent in developmental disability issues, policy and advocacy, self-determination and personal representation. 

The diverse 2007 - 2009 Arc of New Mexico Board is composed of representatives from 12 New Mexico communities:  eight females, seven males, two self-advocates (individuals with a developmental disability), and 13 are parents of children with developmental disabilities. 

The Arc of New Mexico is a state chapter of The Arc of the United States. 

The Arc movement is a grassroots organization with 140,000 members nationally who are affiliated through approximately 1,000 state and local chapters across the nation.
