The Arc of New Mexico provides advocacy, information and referral services about a wide range of topics related to developmental disabilities.  Advocates located around the state can direct callers to resources dealing with families; individual adult services; developmental disability waiver services (DD waiver), including application and eligibility, programs for adults and children; social security and Medicaid benefits; guardianship; trusts and future planning; self-advocacy, self-direction and self-determination.

In Albuquerque, two advocates are available to answer questions, advise callers on a range of services and programs and provide assistance if an individual or family member has a concern related to a specific developmental disability or developmental disability services in general. Priscilla Salinas, located in Anthony, New Mexico provides information, referral and advocacy for individuals and families in southern Dona Ana County.  In addition to advocacy, Priscilla works closely with the public schools in southern Dona Ana County and is involved in community development efforts in this area.
